The property market in the Shannonside Region was worth 330 million euro last year. New figures released by the CSO today breakdown the amount and cost of homes sold in Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon. 2,175 homes were sold in the three counties last year, just three percent of sales nationwide. Roscommon saw the most sales in the region, with 1,005 properties going under hammer for a total cost of 153.6 million euro.
According to the figures the average sale of a residential property in Roscommon stood at €152,870. 91 million euro in property sales were recorded in Leitrim in 2022 from 589 homes, with the average price €154,000. That's followed very closely by Longford, where 581 homes changed hands to a total cost of 83.5 million euro. Nationally, 23 billion euro worth of property sales were recorded last year.
