The Minister for Health has branded the Longford Vaccine centre as one of the most successful in the country following a visit to the site yesterday.
Speaking while in Newtownforbes, Minister Stephen Donnelley praised the uptake of the vaccine locally, with 22,100 doses administered at the county vaccination centre alone.
The Longford Vaccination centre has been confirmed to be remaining open in the long term as other centres across the country have announced plans to stand down or relocate.
The centre opened yesterday for its first full day of vaccination of the 12 to 15 year old cohort, with parents urged to bring ID for their children to the appointment.
