Over 30 cases of Covid-19 have been registered in the Shannonside Region in the last week. The HSE are advising people over the bank holiday not to socialise if they have Covid symptoms. Health Officials are warning that the exact number of virus cases are unknown as many people do not register their positive antigen tests.
Leitrim saw the highest rate of infection in the region by population breakdown, with 10 cases last week. That's closely followed by Roscommon, where there were 18 positive cases. Longford has one of the lowest infection rates in the country, with 3 cases notified in the last 7 days.
