Over 300 commencement notices were recorded in the Shannonside region at the end of last year. According to the latest Geodirectory report, Leitrim had the lowest number of commencements nationally. According to the latest report, the three counties in the Shannonside region recorded the lowest number of commencements in the country. Although Leitrim experienced a large increase in the number of commencements, it still had the lowest amount nationally at 105. This was followed by Roscommon at 116, the second lowest in the country, and Longford at 119, the third lowest nationally. Roscommon also experienced one of the largest percentage declines when compared with 2022, with commencements reducing by almost 20 per cent. Dublin had the highest number of commencement notices at 12,626.
