Over 300 Shannonside properties still out of power - and some won't be back until Tuesday night

The ESB doesn't expect to restore supply to the Keadue and Ballinlough homes until Tuesday. 

A total of 322 homes and businesses in the Shannonside region are still out of power - 17 days after Storm Eowyn struck the region. 

Some 189 properties in Co Roscommon remain without electricity: Keadue - 60; Boyle - 52; Frenchpark - 48; and Ballinlough - 29.

The ESB doesn't expect to restore supply to the Keadue and Ballinlough homes until Tuesday.

They are 133 without supply in Co Leitrim:  Drumsna - 10; Ballinamore - 18; Mohill - 95; and Aughavas - 10. 

The ESB said: "ESB Networks has restored power to over 767,000 homes, farms, schools, and businesses this evening. Following significant repairs carried out over the weekend, work is continuing into the night.

"We expect that less than 700 customers impacted by the storm will be without power overnight.

"Work will continue to reconnect these customers from first light tomorrow.  

"We anticipate that pockets of customers mainly in parts of Roscommon, North Galway, Mayo and South Leitrim will be out overnight. Their estimated restoration times will be updated to reflect this over the course the evening."
