Over 300 submissions have been received on the proposed routes for the N4 upgrade between Mullingar and Longford ahead of today's official closing date.
The upgrading of the 52 kilometre section between the two midland towns was given the go ahead in 2010 but was subsequently cancelled due to the recession.
Engineers went back to the drawing board last year when the project was approved for the second time and they chose 12 Route Corridor options which were announced at the beginning of February.
Senior Engineer Anne Marie Corroon says they've had over 300 submissions and over 37,000 hits on the virtual maps which have been available online.
