Over 40 complaints were made the Ombudsman for children last year in counties Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon.
The Ombudsman deals with complaints about services for children and is an alternative to court for those who are not happy with responses they receive from government departments and public services.
18 complaints were made in both Roscommon and Longford while 9 were dealt with from Leitrim.
The OCO's annual report for last year, shows 30 per cent of complaints it received related to education.
