44 people with a Roscommon address are currently waiting for Hip and Knee replacement surgery at Hospitals in the West of Ireland.
Figures presented at the May meeting of the Regional Health Forum West set out the waiting lists for the procedures at Galway, Mayo and Sligo University Hospitals.
University Hospital Galway has the highest amount of Roscommon patients waiting for the replacement surgery, with 8 waiting between 1 and 4 years to be called.
11 people are on waiting lists for the procedure at Sligo University Hospital, with the majority currently on the list for under a year.
In Mayo University Hospital, three people have been waiting up to three years in some cases for knee and hip surgery, with a total of 10 patients with a Roscommon address waiting for the surgery.
