Gardaí have on average received one hundred and twenty five callouts to instances of domestic abuse per day so far this year.
According to figures released by the Department of Justice, Gardaí have received forty-one thousand, one hundred and fifteen such calls up until the end of November.
The Government have previously said that combating domestic violence is a key priority for them.
