Over 420 asylum seekers currently being housed across the region

There are currently 427 asylum seekers being housed in the Shannonside region.
The figures released by IPAS show that there is now over 26,000 asylum seekers currently being housed in Ireland.
Roscommon has the highest amount international protection applicants in the region with 195.

Longford currently has 143 asylum seekers being housed within the county.
Meanwhile Leitrim has the lowest number of applicants in the Shannonside region with 89 currently housed.
Nationally, Dublin has the highest amount of Asylum seekers being housed in Ireland with over 9,000.
