People across the region are being urged to 'high-five' with their pet in order to raise funds for a local cancer charity set up in memory of a Longford teenager
Cian Neary passed away in September 2019 after a battle with cancer but had his beloved pet dog Cooper available in kennels near the Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin during his treatment.
His family have since established the Cian's Kennels charity to try and develop more kennel space so dogs of people receiving treatment in Dublin can have their pets nearby to offer love and comfort at a very difficult time.
Over 5,000 euro has already been raised as part of the high-five challenge which sees people take a picture of them and their pet 'high-fiving' and then donating to a go-fund me page.
