Over 520 people have received Adult Cautions from Gardaí in the Shannonside Region in the last four years.
The Adult Cautioning Scheme is an alternative to prosecution where there is evidence that the person has committed the offence and where the prosecution is not in the public interest.
Charges such as minor theft, public drunkenness, handling stolen goods or failing to comply with direction from Gardaí are some of the incidents where an official caution can be made.
Longford recorded the highest level of cautions in the four years since 2019, with 244 made by gardaí in that period.
Roscommon had the next highest level where 144 people received a caution for their behaviour from 2019 to date in 2022.
That's followed closely by Leitrim where Gardaí handed down 136 adult cautions in the same time.
Outside of Dublin, Counties Cork, Limerick and Waterford had the highest levels nationally.
