Over 60 people waiting on hospital beds across the region

Over 60 people across the Shannonside Northern Sound region are waiting for beds in local hospitals today.

Midlands regional Hospital in Mullingar is quite busy today with 19 patients on trolleys in the facility.

While its sister hospital in Tullamore is reporting 12 people waiting for a bed.

Sligo University Hospital is facing 17 patients waiting on hospital beds to become available.

In Galway, 11 people are waiting on trolleys or elsewhere in the facility in Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe while 2 people are on trolleys in UHG in Galway City.

Cavan General Hospital is reporting no patients waiting on a hospital bed today.
