Over 70 commencement notices issued in Shannonside region this year

Over 70 commencement notices have been submitted in the Shannonside region so far this year.

These notices must be issued in advance of the construction of a new building or extension or alteration to existing buildings.

40 notices have been submitted in Roscommon this year, slightly more than the 39 issued during the same period last year.

While in Longford, 21 have been submitted and 16 in Leitrim, both an increase on the 2022 figures.

So far this year, 2,303 commencement notices have been issued nationwide
