Over 700 homes and businesses in the Shannonside region remain without electricity this evening, after Storm Ashley. The worst hit area is Arigna in Co. Roscommon where there is currently over 250 premises without power. Areas of Boyle and Roosky are also some of the worst affected locally.
In Co. Leitrim, over 100 premises in Carrigallen and Mohill remain without power whilst some parts of Edgeworthstown in Co. Longford are also impacted. Regional manager at ESB Networks, Siobhan Wynne, says crews will be working late into the evening to restore power:
