Over 15-thousand drivers across Longford, Leitrim, and Roscommon have penalty points on their licenses.
New figures provided by the RSA and published in The Irish Times show Longford had the 4th highest percentage of points holders nationwide last year
29,602 people held a license in Longford in 2022, with 5,102 of them having penalty points, representing 17% of drivers in the county.
In Roscommon, 7,333 drivers had points on their license, 14.8% of the 49,657 drivers resident in the county.
While in Leitrim 12.3% of licensed drivers have been issued penalty points.
