737 offers of accommodation for refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine have been made in the Shannonside Northern Sound Region.
The Irish Red Cross, along with the government, have launched an online portal to allow those with rooms or vacant properties to offer them to war refugees.
Locally, members of the public in Cavan have made the highest amount of accommodation offers, with 173 households registering an interest in housing refugees.
That's followed closely by Westmeath and Roscommon where 154 and 153 offers have been extended.
In Monaghan , 115 rooms or homes have been made available to Ukrainians fleeing the violence.
Meanwhile, the public in Leitrim and Longford are offering 80 and 64 places respectively.
As of this morning, 12,000 homes, apartments and bedrooms have been registered across the country with over 14 million euro also raised in cash donations.
