Funding of over €1.7 million in Clár funding has been awarded to sports and community facilities locally. It's part of a €8.7 million announcement by Minister for Rural and Community Development Heather Humphreys this morning.
Over €615,000 was allocated to 14 projects in Leitrim while €700,000 was awarded to 15 projects in Roscommon, and Longford will receive over €450,000 for 12 projects. As part of the initiative, grants of up to €50,000 are provided to support the renovation and upgrade of community centres, parish halls, GAA clubhouses, youth facilities and more. Sligo-Leitrim TD Frank Feighan is congratulating those who were successful in getting funding.
