Over €1m has been allocated to local organisations under the Community Recognition Fund.
The CRF was first introduced in 2023 to recognise the efforts made by communities in welcoming and supporting people coming to Ireland.
Organisations in Co. Longford have received close to €600,000 from today's announcement.
McEoin Park in Longford Town has received over €180,000 for upgrade works whilst St. Mary's GAA in Granard will benefit from funding of over €179,000.
In Co. Leitrim, the Lough Rynn Dragons Boating Club in Mohill has received €84,000 for a new shed and equipment whilst Carrigallen Tidy Towns has received over €85,000 for a walkway.
