Over €120,000 was paid to court poor boxes in the Shannonside region in 2022.
According to figures released to Shannonside FM News, Longford court house ordered over €106,000 in payments.
Nationally 2.3 million euro has been raised for charities and organisations through court fines last year.
Payments into court poor box are usually directed by judges where the offence is minor in nature and would not attract a custodial sentence.
Longford Court House was the source of the 7th highest level of payments in the entire country, with €106,748 raised for local groups over the course of the year.
Longford Women's Link received the highest allocation locally from the court fines with €18,900 donated to the organisation.
Elsewhere in the county Longford Community Resources CLG received €3,000 while €3,500 was donated to Longford Town Men's Shed.
A total of €12,600 was paid to the court poor box in Roscommon, with the Garda Benevolent Trust Fund being the largest beneficiary at €3,000
The Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation received just over €1000 while a donation of €1000 was also made to Roscommon Christmas lights committee.
In Carrick on Shannon Court House, €2,400 was ring-fenced from fines towards a number of local initiatives.
Carrick Community CCTV Ltd received €1,200, Little Blue Heroes Foundation got €1,000 while Northwest Hospice Sligo were awarded €200.
Monies paid out of the Court poor box are at the discretion of the Judge, while organisations wishing to become a beneficiary may apply in writing to their local District Court office.
