Over €170,000 has been allocated to local county councils for the creation of refugee support teams over the past year.
The Department of Housing and Local Government provided the funds to local authorities in the Shannonside region to aid the reception of those fleeing the conflict in Ukraine.
Support teams comprise of existing council staff, outside contractors and volunteers.
The grants support the co-ordination of supports and services to Ukrainians at a local level and the identification and resolution of gaps in service delivery.
Roscommon received the highest amount with the Department of Local Government allocating the council over €89,000.
That was followed by Leitrim, where the local authority benefited from €62,000 euro towards the teams.
Meanwhile, €19,535 in support was issued to Longford County Council.
