Heritage projects across the Shannonside Region are to benefit from almost thousands of euro in funding.
Minister of State for Heritage and Electoral Reform, Malcolm Noonan, announced that 477 heritage projects across every county in the country will benefit from a total of €3m under this year's Built Heritage Investment Scheme.
In the Shannonside Region,Longford is to get the largest amount of funding at €77,000 with Kilglass House in receipt of over €10,000 for coverings, roof repairs, and structural work.
Roscommon is next with €72,000 in funding and €10,000 of that going towards external wall repairs and other works at the Farm Building Kingston Hall.
Finally, Leitrim receives the lowest amount locally at €56,157 with the historic windows and glass conservation works at Lurganboy Lodge getting €15,000.
