Over €281,000 has been officially announced for over 150 Roscommon Community organisations today.
Minister for Rural Development Heather Humphries released the figures this afternoon during a visit to Roscommon.
152 groups and organisations across the county will benefit from the funds which are aimed at helping them with their energy bills, as well as with improvements to their facilities.
Today's allocations have been awarded in grants of up to five and a half thousand euro per group.
Groups such as the Roscommon Sub Aqua Club, Kilbride Community Centre and Roscommon Christmas Lights Committee have received the highest amounts today.
According to local Senator Eugene Murphy, the community Support fund will help groups under serious pressure with the rising cost of energy.
