Over 42 million euro has been allocated for local and regional roads across the Shannonside region.
Roscommon will receive the most locally at €20,350,740.
Leitrim and Longford have been allocated €12,492,888 and €9,832,607.
Nationally, the funding will allow around 3,100 kilometres of roads to be maintained and over 2,500 kilometres to be strengthened.
15 million euro will be spent on climate change adaptation projects, while 12 million euro has been allocated to road safety schemes
Transport Minister Eamon Ryan says the main priority for the year continues to be the protection and renewal of the existing regional and local road network.
