Over 55% of people in the Shannonside region have been administered at least one COVID vaccine booster.
Figures from the central statistics office show Athlone, County Roscommon had one of the highest uptakes nationwide.

57% of people in the Boyle, Carrick On Shannon, and Granard areas received their first booster vaccines.
The Ballymahon M.D had the lowest booster vaccine uptake, with 47% receiving an initial booster, and 15% receiving a second.
Nationally, the Rathfarnham-Templeogue area in Dublin had the largest Booster 1 uptake at 75%.
