37 candidates and sitting councillors are contesting the local elections in Longford next month.
Three councillors, 2 in Longford Town and one in Granard are not seeking re-election leaving close to 30 potential new representatives on the board.
Of the 37 candidates seeking a seat on Longford County Council in June, just 9 are women.
Longford LEA has seen the biggest election pool, with 16 people in the race for 7 seats, with 12 in Ballymahon looking to fill 6 seats.
Granard has five seats available with 9 candidates contesting.
The party breakdown shows Fine Gael as having the largest amount of candidates running in the county at 10, closely followed by 9 from Fianna Fail.
There are 7 independents, 3 Sinn Fein Members and 2 from the Irish People party also seeking a seat, with one People Before Profit and Green candidate each in Longford Town.
