37 candidates and sitting councillors are contesting the local elections in Roscommon next month.
Six councillors, 3 in Boyle local electoral area. 2 in the Roscommon area, and one in Athlone are not seeking re-election leaving over 20 potential new representatives on the board.
Of the 37 candidates seeking a seat on Roscommon County Council in June, just 6 are women.
Boyle LEA has seen the biggest election pool, with 16 people in the race for 6 seats, with 11 in Roscommon looking to fill 6 seats there.
Athlone also has six seats up for grabs for the 10 candidates contesting that Local Electoral Area.
The party breakdown shows Fianna Fáil with the largest number of candidates at 7 with Fine Gael and Sinn Féin both running 6 candidates each in the county followed by Independent Ireland with 2.
There are 11 Independents, 2 Irish People members, while Aontú have one candidate running in the Boyle area and the Green Party and Irish Freedom Party have one candidate each in Roscommon.
