There has been a reduction in the number of people waiting for a hospital bed at the Midlands regional hospital in Mullingar in the last 24 hours.
The Westmeath facility implemented its full capacity protocol on Wednesday after admitting a number of patients with serious and complex illness.
According to the INMO, twenty people were waiting for a hospital bed yesterday, but that figure has dropped to ten today according to the Trolleywatch.
Sligo University hospital had 22 people waiting at its Emergency Department on Wednesday and that figure has dropped to seven today.
Overall, 161 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, according to today's INMO Trolley Watch. 142 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 19 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.
