Sligo University Hospital is reporting the 3rd highest level of patients waiting for a bed in the country today.
Figures from the IMNO show the 40 people are on trolleys or waiting for beds elsewhere at the facility this morning.
It follows 54 people on trolleys in Cork University Hospital and 105 patients waiting for a bed in Limerick.
UHG is reporting 35 people on trolleys today, while elsewhere in Galway, 10 patients are awaiting beds at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe.
Meanwhile, Midlands Regional Hospitals in Mullingar and Tullamore each have 3 people waiting this morning according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Association.
