A Roscommon mother says it is vital more supports are put in place for parents of children with heart issues.
The first Heart Family Fridays event take place later this week in Athlone to support parents of children born with congenital heart disease.
Over 500 children every year in Ireland are born with the issue, with the event being organised by the charity, heartchildren.ie.
