A peaceful gathering will take place in Roscommon town later today in solidarity with the people of Palestine.
Organisers hope to raise awareness of the plight of innocent people caught up in the Israel-Hamas conflict.
The event 'Stand with Palestine: Together for Justice' will take place from one o'clock in the Square.
The gathering is being organised by members of the Kashmir Peace and Solidarity Council of Ireland and Irish Pakistani Community Network.
One of the event's organisers, Sajjad Hussain, says they hope to increase pressure on those responsible for finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict:
