The long-awaited pedestrian footbridge planned for Rooskey is still a couple of years away at the very best, according to a Leitrim councillor.
The issue was discussed at a recent meeting of Roscommon County Council.
A footbridge similar to that in Carrick-on-Shannon is planned for the village, and it's currently at design stage.
It will then go to planning, and local councillor Des Guckian says it is vital it is done as soon as possible as there are safety concerns.
