People around Roscommon Town are being asked to keep their eyes open for an escaped Cockatoo. Georgie is a Galah cockatoo, who lives with his owner on the Galway Road in Roscommon Town. He escaped from his home last night and was last seen close to the home near the railway bridge.
The bird has a distinctive pink breast with grey wings, and stands 12 inch's tall. Georgie's owner MacDara told the Joe Finnegan Show this morning that the cockatoo is not used to being outside and may be confused:
