People in Leitrim are being advised that they can start using a new Courts Service online portal to answer jury summons.
The portal allows the member of the public to follow the status of their reply, and to catch real time updates on any changes to their jury service details.
The system will go live for Leitrim for jury summonses received from next Monday.

This online scheme has already been piloted in Kilkenny, Mayo, Tipperary and Waterford and has seen around 30% of people responding to their jury summons through the portal.
