Local residents and Air BnB owners have been warned to be viligant following a number of recent burglaries in Roscommon. Senior Gardaí told a recent Joint Policing Committee meeting that an organised crime gang was behind robberies in Tulsk and Ballinagare. It is believed the gang stayed at a local air BnB while carrying out burglaries in the surrounding areas.
Local councillor Liam Callaghan says he was reassured by Gardaí that extra patrols are taking place in the area in the run up to Christmas. Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound News, the Fine Gael Councillor said any suspicious activity should be reported:
