Permission granted for Children's Disability Service in Roscommon
The HSE Children's Disability Network Team submitted the application in August last year for the change of use of ground floor commercial units at Carrownabrickna on the Racecourse Road in the town.
The centre would support the provision of speech and language, occupational and psychological therapies among other services.
The application was supported by Community Healthcare West, with Head of Disability Services, John Fitzmaurice describing the need for such a service as critical.
The site is serviced by 39 car parking spaces, with county planners describing the supply as sufficient to meet the demand.
The planning permission was granted with 4 conditions attached, one of these includes a ruling that all parking must be within the development and not impact the public road.
