The site of a former historic Longford cafe has been revived this week with the opening of a brand new cafe.
The Gooseberry Cafe welcomed customers for the first time yesterday after they opened on Dublin Street in the county town.

The new business is operating on the old site of the Red Rose Cafe, a popular former business that operated for over 30 years in the town.
Opened by Gus and Natalie McIntyre, the new cafe operates five days a week across two floors.
Gus who is from North Longford and is a former executive at an International Pharmaceutical company, described the opening as the culmination of a long held dream:
