Marina Quarter Ltd had been given the go ahead for the construction of 177 residential units at Cornamaddy in May of this year.

A planning appeal has been made to An Bord Pleanala regarding a major Athlone housing development. Marina Quarter Ltd had been given the go ahead for the construction of 177 residential units at Cornamaddy in May of this year.

That decision by Westmeath County Council was appealed to the higher planning authority earlier this month. The large-scale development includes all associated development works and will form part of a larger development on an 18-acre site. The case is due to decided upon by the 30th of September.
