A planning application that would see a historic Longford pub turned into apartments has received the go ahead from local planners.
The plans will see McKeon's Bar on Earl Street in the town turned into four 2 bedroom apartments, with the application submitted by John McKeon.
The business located beside the train station and was one of Longford's oldest pubs.
Works include the change of use from public house to accommodation for two apartments on the ground floor as well as alterations to the existing first floor habitable accommodation to facilitate another 2 bedroom apartments.
The decision was granted by Longford County planners with 9 conditions attached.
