It's hoped a final decision on a planning application for a McDonalds restaurant in Leitrim will be made in the next two months.
The fast food giant had been given the green light by Leitrim County Council in September of last year to progress with the county's first outlet in Carrick-on-Shannon, which would have been a 2 storey drive-through restaurant including parking spaces.
The proposed development at Rosebank Retail Park attracted a number of submissions to the original planning application, and the decision to grant was appealed to An Bord Pleanala on the 29th of September last.
The board had hoped to issue a decision by February of this year but the Board has confirmed to Shannonside FM that a decision on the appeal is now expected before the 31st of May.
