Planning permission has been granted for an office development at a shopping centre in Athlone.
The project entails the demolition of an existing industrial building at Golden Island shopping centre in the town to build a single storey office building.
The construction will be used to facilitate a car rental hub with a connected wash area, and alterations which will include a new car park, signage and a connection to the existing waterline.

Planning was approved with nine conditions attached, among which is the requirement of the provision of bicycle parking on site for staff.
