Drumlish Community Centre had applied for the reconfiguration of the existing facility earlier in the summer.
Plans include a change to the floor layout to incorporate 3 individual meeting rooms/studios and accessible toilet facilities.
Also included in the development is the installation of a passenger lift and the creation of emergency escape stairways on the north-eastern and south -western facade of the existing building.
The centre is the home to a number of clubs and organisations in the North Longford area.
