Planning permission has been lodged for an expansion of a popular Leitrim Primary School.
An application has been submitted to Leitrim County Council by the Board of Management of Scoil Mhuire in Bornacoola.
The school is seeking to construct a single storey extension to house two mainstream classrooms along with two SET rooms.

The plans also include a new layout to the east end and external soft play area to suit a new secondary entrance to the school.
The new layout will also include additional car set down areas and increased bike spaces.
County Planners will decide on the application in May.
