Planning permission is being sought for a long-awaited new building at a west Roscommon school.
The board of management of St Attracta's National School in Ballaghaderreen are seeking to complete a major extension at the school.
It comes following confirmation last year that a multi-million euro building at St Attracta's would be prioritised by the Department of Education.
The development will consist of the demolition of three single-storey blocks, and the construction of a two-storey and single-storey extension.
The new extension will include mainstream classrooms, accommodation, a multi-purpose room, and a special needs educational facility.
The works will also include the reconfiguration of and extension of existing car park, bus drop off and bicycle parking.
