Permission is being sought for the construction of a large residential development in County Westmeath.
The project consists of the erection of 181 residential units in Rathgowan in Mullingar.
The development includes three ESB substations, footpaths, cycle lanes, car and bicycle parking, drainage, bin storage and the undergrounding of the existing overhead electricity lines in the area.
The units will be accessible via the R394 roundabout, as well as through a pedestrian area on to the Ashe Road.
The development will form two phases of a larger residential development at the location with construction already underway on site.
The proposal was submitted last week, and is expected to be decided upon by the 18th of October.
