Planning permission has been lodged for a new solar farm in Roscommon.
The development would act as an extension to the solar farm plan already granted for Taduff, Creagh & Cuilglass in the county.
Permission is being sought by TDC Community Solar Park Limited to construct solar arrays on ground mounted frames over a 60 hectare area.
The plans also call for 13 transformer stations, security fencing and CCTV cameras.
A separate previous permission was given the go ahead in July last year for the construction of 70 hectares of panels in the area, with the new application considered an extension of this development.
Roscommon county planners are due to decide on the new application in August.
