Planning permission has been lodged for the refurbishment of a former Garda Station in Longford.
The ex-station in Ardagh was put up for auction in November last year at a starting price of €125,000. Plans were lodged this week for the careful restoration and extension of the protected building located at Ardagh Demesne. Included in the application is the erection of a single storey extension to the front and rear of the building as well as the removal of an existing outbuilding. This is due to be replaced by a domestic store.
Longford county planners will decide on the issue in February.
