Permission is being sought to expand the operating lifespan of a approved solar farm in Roscommon.
Elgin Energy Services Ltd received planning permission for the development at Rathleg near Castlerea in 2017, with 24 conditions attached.
Plans include ground mounted photovoltaic panels, an ESB Terminal Station, 4 inverter stations and a switchgear enclosure.
The application was subject to opposition with one submission highlighting concerns over flooding, glare, visual amenity and the effect on property values.
The company behind the infrastructure has applied to Roscommon County Council to expand the lifespan from 30 years to 40 years.
County planners will make a decision in October.
