Planning permission for a 36 metre high communications tower in Roscommon has been appealed to An Bord Pleanala.
The development on behalf of Cignal Infrastructure Ltd called for the multi-user lattice tower telecommunications structure to be constructed at Ballymurray in Roscommon.
County planners green lit the application last month with 5 conditions attached.
An appeal has now been lodged with the higher planning body following local concerns including road safety.
An Bord Pleanala are due to make their decision in September.
