Planning permission has been granted to turn two vacant buildings in Ballymahon into a cafe and cheese making factory.
John McNally had submitted a planning application for the change of use of the two derelict buildings on Main Street in the town.
The development will include turning the protected structures into a cafe/restaurant with an associated kitchen, customer sit down area and staff toilets.
Also included in the plans is a cheese making factory together with a shop and a single story extension linking the two buildings together.
The plans have been granted with 15 conditions attached.
One includes the provision that the internal courtyard not be used for any reason other than circulation, including seating, displays or stalls.
